The One and Only Technology that Can Measure
Color, Gloss, and Retroreflectance in a Short Time

There are many devices (colorimeter, gloss meter, 3D scanner) for measuring color and shape, but they are prone to errors when measuring objects with uneven or shiny surfaces. This system uses a newly developed movable optical trap to suppress the gloss component and can accurately and simultaneously measure the color, gloss, and retroreflectivity of an object.

Digitization of Appearance Information Enables Remote "Real-World" Inspection

If all visual inspections can be mechanized and automated with this technology, it will be possible to easily conduct all inspections without relying on the human eye and prevent defective products from being overlooked. If this technology can capture images that accurately reproduce colors and textures, it will be possible to realize online shopping without being "disappointed" by the difference from the actual product

ORIGINALITYUniqueness, Passion for Development

Focusing on the Natural Appearance of Objects under Everyday Illumination

Practically used competing technologies for appearance inspection include inspection methods that use special lighting for inspection, such as light distribution illumination and laser light, to highlight scratches and dents, and to make image judgments. In contrast, our technology focuses on the ability to acquire the natural appearance of the object under conditions similar to the lighting used in everyday spaces.

Supporting People's Lives as the Ultimate Eyeglasses

In the past, the invention of eyeglasses enabled skilled craftsmen whose eyesight declined with age to continue to improve their skills despite their advancing age. We hope that this technology, which simulates seeing real objects with the naked eye, will also support people's lives as the ultimate eyeglasses, not by eliminating people, but as a tool to enhance their skills, and as eyes for the blind.
